What's the difference?

We believe in properly educating everyone looking to adopt one of these gorgeous babies. Here is where you can learn more about the breeds we offer.

There are two types of pigs that are bred at Noble Mini Pigs. Learn about their the unique characteristics and traits of Juliana and Mini Pigs.

One thing that we emphasize at Noble Mini Pigs is that we do not breed Potbellied Pigs. The Mini & Juliana Pigs are entirely different breeds.

Juliana Pigs

The Juliana Pig, often called the “Painted Pig” is renowned for its distinctive spotted coat and athletic, proportional build. Originating from Europe through careful selective breeding, Juliana Pigs are small and well-formed, featuring tiny legs and feet without a pronounced pot belly or sway back. Their slim appearance reflects a healthy and active lifestyle—Juliana Pigs should never appear pudgy or heavily wrinkled.

This rare breed is highly social, intelligent, and trainable, making it an ideal choice for those seeking an affectionate, lively companion. Every Juliana is spotted, but not all spotted pigs are Juliana Pigs—proper registration is key to ensuring authenticity. At Noble Mini Pigs, all our Juliana Pigs are JPAR-registered, guaranteeing their pedigree and exceptional quality.

Mini Pigs

The Mini Pig, is not related to potbelly pigs. They’re cherished for their friendly nature, great temperament, and high intelligence. Minis are highly adaptable and trainable, making them an excellent fit for indoor homes. This breed boasts a compact and sturdy build.

Mini Pigs have a variety of coat colors and patterns, including solid shades like black, pink, grey, and red, as well as unique markings like tuxedo and pinto. Their diversity adds to their charm and individuality. Weight varies based on the physical condition of the pig, with a focus on maintaining a healthy and athletic build. Mini should be able to move and run freely while maintaining clear vision.
